In 2007 I recorded my daughter, Sama, after she told me she had made up a new praise song. I saved that recording and it brings my heart to joy every time it plays across my iPod/iTunes library on shuffle. Please listen to it yourself, above, and you'll hear why. Sama's first name, as far as I can tell by the language dictionary I looked into for a meaningful name, is the polite way to say "little girl" in Japanese. This might seem simple until you realize how appropriate it is to Sama's character. She is a delightful person to be around. Very polite and respectful with a smile that lightens up all the dark places around. She has a contagious good nature and affectionate spirit. She is wonderful at taking care of things that need to be attended to, very responsible, and very concerned with making good choices in life to the benefit of herself and others. Her middle name, Ra'ah, is a hebrew word that can mean "One who see's, understands, wise things and shares them with others". In other words a teacher. Again, so appropriate with Sama's nature. She is wiser than her own age and she is never stingy with her wisdom. It is the 17th birthday of my 'little wise girl'. And it was so long ago that I recorded her praise song. All this time later and she still has a heart of praise for Jesus! Many years later and she still inspires praise in my own heart. I am so proud of you, Sama. You are such a wonderful 'little wise girl' that has grown to an exceptional wise woman. Here's to Sama Ra'ah! May God bless you with wisdom to share and prosperity in all that you do. YOU are the gift, as you bless our lives with your joyfulness. We love you so much! Happy Birthday!
